Jasmine Duenez-Garcia

Jasmine is a senior at Cherokee Bluff High School and is a 1st year WBL student. She has career aspirations in culinary arts. Currently, she is an awesome online shopper at Walmart. Her supervisor cannot say enough great things about her.

Jani is a Senior at Chestatee High School.  He has taken Career Tech classes in Audio Video Marketing and Healthcare to explore what he might be interested in for a future career. As a senior, Javi decided he wants to pursue a career in Healthcare based on his experiences in his career tech classes. As a result, he is currently interning at Gainesville Physical Therapy and Wellness. Javi hopes he will learn various skills and information about the profession that will help him decide if he wants to become a physical therapist one day. 

​

His mentor said, "javi is a joyful presence in our office. He is a hard-worker and always completes any task he is given. We are excited that he is with us at Gainesville Physical Therapy."

Ashton Hernandez is a senior at EHHS. He is currently interning at ZF Group where he works in the environmental safety office.

Brianna is the Work-Based Learning Student of the Month for August!  She is a Senior and is currently interning at Dr. Richard Collin’s Chiropractic office in Buford.  Brianna has been working the front office since summer and is doing a great job there.  Her internship is paid and she is gaining real world experience!!

Brianna continues to show leadership and motivation to learn. Brianna is also working to earn the

Elite Georgia Best Certificate through WBL!

ViriDiana Simental works with Rumba Latina as a loan officer and has been employed with the company since Spring of 20019.   She is a senior this year, graduating May of 2020! 

Her boss continuously gives her marks of EXCELLENCE across the board with soft skills and the daily tasks that must be completed to efficiently run a business.

Whitmire Plumbing & Electrical

Ellis enjoys hands-on learning as an apprentice with Whitmire Plumbing & Electrical.  Customers comment on his work ethic and attention to detail and even request him by name when scheduling services.   

​

Ellis also serves as an officer for the North Hall SkillsUSA chapter.  He recently represented North Hall at the Skills Challenge where he took home 1st place in the plumbing competition.  Ellis will move on to the State competition in the spring. 

​

what he accomplishes in the future!

Carson is a senior here at North Hall High School. He works as a Salesman/Cashier at the North Hall Ace Hardware.

 

After speaking with Carson’s employers I have chosen him to be my student of the month because he goes above and beyond for others. He is very hardworking, respectful and willing to help anyone in need without being asked. His employers spoke so highly of him and I am so proud of the way he is representing North Hall and Work-Based Learning.

Carter is a second year WBL student.  He works at fish tales where he has been since 2021!  Carter does a great job according to his general manager, Mr. Ryan Battles.  The length of employment at Fish Tales shows what a great work ethic carter has!

Carter is in the construction pathway and plans to become an architect.
