Daniel  is a senior who serves as an IT intern in the CBHS/CBMS Learning Commons. He serves both faculty and students and has created several “How To” instructional documents. 

 

This is Daniel’s 2nd year in WBL, and he will complete the Engineering & Technology Pathway this year. Daniel plans to attend  GA Tech or UNG upon graduation.

Daniel’s mentor states “He isn’t afraid to tackle any task; in fact, he thrives when faced with a technology challenge!”

Drew is a 1st year WBL student with an interest in pursuing Early Childhood Education as her career.

Harley Wilbanks

Harley is currently interning at The Longstreet Clinic and Bell Minor nursing home. After high school she wants to continue her post-secondary education at Lanier Tech for radiology. Her goal is to become a radiologic technologist.

 

“I wanted to go into healthcare because of my special needs brother that has cerebral palsy. Growing up I was always looked up to the stay at home nurse and therapist that would come to the house and help out with my brother. I knew I wanted to help other people.”

Traci Timmons is the Work-Based Learning Student Of The Month of August 2019. Traci is a Senior and is pursing her career goal in broadcast and film production. 

 

She is interning at WDUN and Abernathy and Cochran where she writes for the Faces Of Hall blog.  Traci is planning on attending Full Sail University in Florida when she graduates in May 2020.

ViriDiana Simental

Rumba Latina

ViriDiana Simental works with Rumba Latina as a loan officer and has been employed with the company since Spring of 20019.   She is a senior this year, graduating May of 2020! 

Her boss continuously gives her marks of EXCELLENCE across the board with soft skills and the daily tasks that must be completed to efficiently run a business.

Bella Skinner

EKG Securities

Bella serves as an Administrative Intern at EKG Security where she answers phone calls, files documentation, schedules employees, and assists in the onboarding process for new hires.  She is currently learning how to utilize a new software program to track workers’ hours and organize scheduling.

Bella’s mentor is happy to have her join the team and is impressed with Bella’s willingness to learn.

Carson is a senior here at North Hall High School. He works as a Salesman/Cashier at the North Hall Ace Hardware.

 

After speaking with Carson’s employers I have chosen him to be my student of the month because he goes above and beyond for others. He is very hardworking, respectful and willing to help anyone in need without being asked. His employers spoke so highly of him and I am so proud of the way he is representing North Hall and Work-Based Learning.

Esmeralda Valle

Esmeralda is a Work-Based Learning intern at World Language Academy. She is working towards completing her Teaching as a Profession Pathway. This is Esmeralda's second year as an Honor's WBL student as well as WLA intern. Esmeralda is  highly motivated, displays great work ethic and represents Sparta well.

Esmeralda juggles school, her internship and and cheerleading all while keeping her grades up. Esmeralda plans to pursue the education field upon graduation.
